A (Virtual) Zawiyyah of the Most Blessed Days of Hajj: The Inner Hajj

July 10 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT

Virtual Inner Hajj Zawiyya Program

The Most Blessed Days of Hajj.

“There are no days in which righteous deeds done in them are more beloved to Allah than these days, [i.e the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah]”, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

O beloveds, Dhul-Hijjah, the holy month of the pilgrimage to Mecca is approaching (evening of July 21, approximately), a blessed time of traveling outwardly and inwardly back to Allah, swta.

This year, in partnership with the University of Sufism, SSC will be offering a Virtual Zawiyyah program during the 10 first days of Hajj, in a format similar to the online Ramadan programing brought to you by the grace and mercy of Allah, swta.  For a full description of the program visit our website.

The most blessed days… When our beloved and precious Guide was with us in America, we used to get together during these most blessed days of the year at the Mother Center, to be in zawiyyah with our Lord and do the inner Hajj, the Hajj of those who stay at home.

So sacred are the first ten days of Dhul hijjah that Allah ﷻ  swears an oath by them when He Most High says in the Quran: “By the dawn; by the ten nights. [i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul hîjjah]”  [al-Fajr 89:1-2]

We would like to honor these 10 first days just as we did with our guide, and worship together through the blessing of Zoom, inshaAllah. Join us for the whole retreat or for a day or two, or as much as you’re able to. The doors of “online” zawiyyah are open for us, alhamdulillah.

The most blessed days

When our beloved and precious Guide was with us in America, we used to get together during the most blessed days of the year at the Mother Center to be in zawiyya with our Lord and do the inner Hajj.

Every year comes a month in the lunar calendar named Dhul Hijjah, which is a time when the pilgrims go to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj. [The Days of Hajj are not exclusive to those pilgrims visiting the holy cities to perform the Hajj, these days are blessed for everyone, regardless of where we are.]

So sacred are the first ten days of Dhul hijjah that Allah ﷻ  swears an oath by them when He Most High says in the Quran: “By the dawn; by the ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul hîjjah)”  [al-Fajr 89:1-2]

“There are no days in which righteous deeds done in them are more beloved to Allah than these days, ie the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah”, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

This time of a year, the first 10 days of dhul Hijjah are a special time to go inwards and be in the corner with Allah. With Sidi, we would spend the most blessed days away from the dunya, dedicating most of our time to worship (Quran recitation, fasting, prayer, read and write all the literature Sidi has written on and about the Hajj). The Day of Arafah was a slightly different one where Sidi would offer a teaching reminding us of the importance to repent, the most blessed days are an invitation from our Lord to repent, to wash away our mistakes and shortcomings, to turn to Him. After the teaching, Sidi would offer a most profound and cleansing tawbah promise.

We would like to honor these 10 first days just as we used to with our Guide and worship together through zoom. Join us for the whole retreat or for a day or two or as much as you’re able to. The doors of “online” zawiyyah are open for us, alhamdulillah.
