Jumu’ah is the traditional congregational prayer celebrated by Muslims/Sufis each Friday. The format consists of a short sermon for spiritual reflection, a prayer to reunite us with the Presence of God, followed by social time to renew relationships with our spiritual brothers and sisters.
Allah says:“O you who believe! When the call is made for the Jumu’ah prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off worldly trade; that is better for you, if you but knew. And when the prayer has ended, then disperse in the land and seek Allah’s bounty and remember Allah much, that you may be successful.” (Qur’an 62: 9-10)
We provide weekly webcasts of the sermon & prayer for those friends of the mosque, who live far away and want to stay connected with the local community here in N. California, or those with no local mosque to attend. These webcasts are not intended as a substitute to participating in your local community and do not fulfill the need of brothers’ to attend their local gathering in person.
Everyone is welcome to join our gathering for spiritual & social connection.
