The Shadhiliyya Sufi Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit religious organization set up to carry on the teachings of our teacher, Sidi Muhammad al-Jamal Rafa’i as-Shadduli, may he rest in peace, and to support the varied charitable and humanitarian projects he established in the Holy Land and around the world during his lifetime. Sidi dedicated his life to supporting those individuals and families in need. He was always there to help them.
We continue to support these activities through the non-profit organization Jerusalem Consortium for Research and Development (or JCRD) which is incorporated in Jerusalem under an Israeli license. It is a scientific, educational, cultural, and artistic nonprofit established in 2004 by Mahmoud al-Jamal, the son of our guide, Sidi Shaykh Muhammad al-Jamal al-Rifa’i.
Sidi began coming to the United States about 25 years ago to share with those drawn to his teachings how to be better human beings, how to live a holy life, how to care for our brothers and sisters in all walks of life, and how to bring the flag of peace to every person and every home. Over the years, considerable funds have been raised and sent to the JCRD to help the poor and orphans with education, food, social and cultural support together with practical skills to lead a better and more successful life, Allah willing.
